How to Disassemble Nordictrack Treadmill for Moving – Step By Step Process
There are different ways on how to disassemble a nordictrack treadmill for moving. But for all of those ways, here are some necessary steps you have to follow:
Disconnecting All Types Of Power Sources From The Treadmill
Nordictrack treadmills have many advanced options which are mostly electrical parts. When moving the treadmill, you must unplug all types of plugs and ports from the home treadmill and from the power source to avoid electrocution.
Removing The Console From The Treadmill
The console is the most sensible part of a treadmill. They work with electricity, body sensors, heat sensors, and a lot more settings. They connect the whole treadmill through wires and a display. You have to remove them all step by step. Here are the steps you should follow:
- Detaching Console’s Wire Connectivity
Mostly there are some connectivity wires located near the left handrail. You have to locate them and disconnect them by just pulling the two pieces apart. Then you will find the connected grounding wire with it that connects through a hole. These wires connect the console with sensors and display.
- Disconnecting The Grounding Wires
Grounding wires are the power supply wires of the console. You will find connected to the treadmills console wires in the same hole behind the nordictrack treadmills console. It is a very thin wire so you have to disconnect it very carefully.
- Detaching The Console Clamp
Once you have detached all types of wires from the treadmill, you can detach the console itself by starting with the console clamp. Console clamps hold the screws and stabilize the console in place. You have to remove this screw holder clamp to unscrew the console. Make sure that you are using a 9″ rod or a Philips screwdriver when detaching the console clamp.
- Detaching The Console
Now that you have removed all of the obstacles, you can remove the console by unscrewing the six screws that hold it in place. There are two screws on the left, two on the right and two in the middle. Use a Philip head screwdriver and unscrew them. Then gently take out the console and place it in a safe place. Do not hold it tightly or place it in bad condition as there are lots of sensitive sensors that work within the console.
Folding the Treadmill
If you have removed the console from the treadmill then you have removed all the outer parts of the treadmill. Now you can disassemble your treadmill by folding it. Since you can not detach these parts from each other so you can fold them by unscrewing the eight bolts in the frame. After unscrewing the bolts, you will be able to move up your treadmills running belt and its metal frame. Move up the frame to an upright position with the handlebar and there will be a stand to fix it in that position. Now you only have the transportation wheels on the floor and the rest of its parts are folded together. So, you can easily move them anywhere you want now.
Moving the Treadmill
The treadmill is now all set in a position to move. Now here is how you can move it anywhere you want:
- Place one of your legs on the wheel frame for pushing it and controlling its force.
- Hold the handrails with your hand to change the direction to anywhere you desire.
- Tilt the treadmill to move its wheels easily along with changing directions.
- After reaching the desired destination, place a foot on the wheels and stop the treadmill.
If you are thinking about how to move nordictrack treadmill through the doorway then be sure to use the same process. The treadmill gets small enough to move through a doorway when it is folded.
Unfolding The Treadmill
When you have reached the position you wanted to set your treadmill, now you have to unfold your treadmill to attach it back to its form. It is a bit hard if you are doing it alone so you can seek help from one person. Hold the handrails frame and push the running deck downwards carefully. At this point, you need someone else’s help to hold the handrail for you so that you don’t slam the running deck on the floor as it might force heavy damage to the treadmill. The treadmill is also very heavy so you can not just do these works alone to prevent back pains and injuries.
How To Move A Nordictrack Treadmill Upstairs:
